까르띠에 산토스 옥타곤 18K 콤비 LM 라지 사이즈 남성용

I am selling a stunning Cartier watch. It is the Cartier Santos Octagon 18K Two-Tone LM (Large Model) with a date function. Unlike the relatively more affordable battery-powered quartz versions, this is a mechanical automatic watch, the same as the Santos Carrée.

Among the Santos collection, this is a truly attractive and sophisticated timepiece. While most standard Santos watches were released in square or rectangular shapes, the Santos Octagon was launched with an octagonal case as part of Cartier’s challenge to revolutionize design.

Furthermore, as an early production model, it features the single-fold clasp with the prominent Cartier logo. Many enthusiasts regret that the logo was omitted on later clasp versions.

Since it has been discontinued, these clasps with the Cartier logo are extremely rare, making this model highly recognized for its collection and investment value. The luxurious combination of Cartier yellow gold and steel created a historic Swiss luxury watch.

Because it was produced in limited quantities over a short period, it is not an official "limited edition," but it remains one of the hardest watches to find—especially the men’s LM Large Size, which is rarely seen on the second-hand market.

The watch I am selling is the LM Large size with the date window, which is the largest model released for men.

All yellow portions on the watch are made of genuine 18K yellow gold in a two-tone finish, and the octagonal bezel surrounding the case is particularly impressive.

Since the Octagon model was discontinued, Cartier has only produced square-cased Santos watches, which is why many international columns and collectors consider this specific Santos model to have exceptionally high collectible value.

Due to its octagonal case, it is often referred to internationally as the "Cartier Royal Oak," as it is reminiscent of the Royal Oak by the top-tier Swiss brand Audemars Piguet.

The Santos Carrée is the original Santos automatic model, possessing great historical significance and rarity.

The difference between the standard Santos Galbée and the Carrée is that the Carrée features more defined, flatter edges, maintaining the traditional look of the first-generation Santos.

Also, while the standard Santos model was produced in both automatic and quartz movements, the Santos Carrée was released exclusively with an automatic mechanical movement.

More than 90% of Santos Galbée watches sold second-hand are quartz, whereas the Santos Carrée I am selling features an automatic movement. Naturally, automatic movements carry much higher rarity and collection value than quartz.

Today, as a classic Cartier model, it is recognized for its rarity and value, becoming a staple in the collections of watch enthusiasts worldwide as a true piece of traditional Santos history.

Since its discontinuation, it has received significant attention from watch enthusiasts and international communities, frequently cited as one of the most beautiful Cartier designs and a staple in Cartier history books.

With the rise of the internet and the information age in the 2000s, the value and beauty of the Cartier Santos Octagon have been globally recognized, establishing it as a representative classic vintage Cartier model with immense popularity and demand.

It is such a luxurious and satisfying Cartier watch that people often say every Cartier fan must own a Santos Octagon. It is one of those iconic Cartier classic watches that is becoming increasingly difficult to find.

Most Cartier watches are square or round, but this is a special timepiece with an octagonal (Octagon) case that is neither round nor square.

The octagon is known for possessing the most perfect artistic beauty and visual balance from a human perspective.

It is a model that makes one truly appreciate Cartier’s ability to create such luxurious and sophisticated case designs even in that era.

The octagonal shape has been considered a beautiful form since the Middle Ages (11th–13th centuries) and was widely used throughout the Renaissance—a period of artistic and cultural innovation in Europe from the 14th to 16th centuries.

The watch also features the signature blue-glowing hour and minute hands, which are iconic to Cartier.

This is a testament to Cartier’s symbolic watchmaking expertise—a "blued steel" technique steeped in craftsmanship, created by firing the hands in a high-heat furnace.

Blued Hands are a symbol of high-end luxury watches, a specific finishing technique that Cartier uses, known for its long tradition and technical skill.

The hour, minute, and second hands are fired in a furnace exceeding 300 degrees Celsius for an extended period. It creates a subtle, mysterious, and elegant blue glow that is not artificial, giving the hands a highly luxurious feel.

This is one of the fundamental designs of traditional Swiss luxury watches, found not only in Cartier but also in other top-tier brands like Breguet, Patek Philippe, and Jaeger-LeCoultre.

The dial is the ivory-colored black Roman numeral dial, known as Cartier’s most iconic and symbolic design.

It is the best-selling, representative dial that defined the modern Cartier, and most of the core models from the past to the present utilize this black Roman numeral style.

The details of this dial are featured even on Cartier’s official website, as it is a clean design preferred by everyone without exception.

In Korea, small or medium sizes are often found on the second-hand market, but the Large size with the date window is a model that is quite difficult to come across.

Internationally, the same model with diamonds is currently selling for approximately 6.1 million KRW.

Considering the domestic market, I am offering this stylish watch at a reasonable price, and personally, I find the non-diamond model even more attractive due to its octagonal bezel design.

I believe this is a Cartier watch that carries history and tradition—its value is only likely to rise over time, not fall.

As it is a discontinued model, the original packaging from the time of release is not available; however, this is of little consequence since the original manufacturer's warranty period has long expired.

As someone who personally loves Cartier's history and appreciates fine watches, I believe it is difficult to find another timepiece that embodies the iconic sensibility and artistry of Cartier as well as this one.

This watch is in excellent condition, suitable for either daily wear or as a collector’s piece. I hope it finds a buyer who understands the value of vintage classic watches and appreciates Cartier.

Seoul Watch guarantees that all watches sold are 100% genuine and provides a Seoul Watch certificate and case with the purchase. All watches have completed basic servicing, and we take responsibility for assisting with repairs should any mechanical issues arise in the future. Thank you.
